What is Fasting?
Fasting is a spiritual discipline that involves voluntarily abstaining from food, beverages, or distractions for a set period to draw closer to God. It is a time of consecration, self-denial, and devotion, allowing believers to seek God’s guidance, break spiritual strongholds, and grow in faith.
Scriptural Foundation
“Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?” – Isaiah 58:6 (KJV)
