Deuteronomy: The Book of Obedience

APPLICATION QUESTIONS:
1. What commitment is inherent in the phrase, "the Lord our God"? It is used about 300 times in Deuteronomy. What expression do you use describing your relationship with God?
2. Read Deuteronomy 10:12-13. Does God require this of you? How telling are these commands as a description of your life? How were the commands for Israel's good?
3. If you are a Christian parent, how does Deuteronomy 6:7-9 and 11:18-21 influence the way you teach your children? Is there one step you can take to teach them better?
4. What is the significance of the land of promise in the book of Deuteronomy? What does the land mean for Israel’s obedience and for Israel's prophetic future?
