What is Sabbath? What does that mean for you? In order for us to understand the power of giving up, we must also give over our time and energy to God through Sabbath and taking a time of rest. Even though we might say that we are too busy or we don't have time, but through obedience which is our way of trusting God in the midst of our circumstances, we will see a heightened awareness of his presence and power in our lives! With a new year beginning most of us will take the opportunity for a fresh start with new habits, diets, routines, goals, aspirations, and dreams all wrapped up in a resolution to do things better. But have you ever considered that seeing success in these areas might begin with the action of GIVING first? When we Give Way to the power of God in our lives, it changes everything, and we WILL find a way of living that is so fresh and flourishing that it exceeds any resolution we could ever come up with. But we’ve got to be willing to GIVE…

In order for us to take steps forward in understanding the Power of Give, the addition within the act of subtraction, we must first understand that we have to give up control over everything and let God take control. There is so much power in recognizing our need to be humble and respond appropriately to what God has in store in order for us to fully understand what his plan for us is.
