Sometimes we will enjoy the gift of a “lightning bolt” experience in our relationship with God - some “Aha!” moment when all of a sudden everything seems to fall into place and we feel particularly close to God. However, much of the rest of the time our life of faith is more ordinary and everyday in its nature - our feelings of closeness to God come and go.
