On Palm Sunday, Jesus came into Jerusalem riding on a donkey - a symbol that He was coming as the Messiah, but coming to make peace and not war. Jesus was coming to lay down His own life as a sacrifice to make peace between God and humanity possible. The good news is that He came to bring peace between you and God and to bring peace to your heart and mind, even in this challenging time!

Too often, the difficulty of the present moment lead us to give up on the future. This was the case for Mary and Martha when their brother died - and while even Jesus wept at the news, he reminded them of the bigger picture in which Lazarus would yet again live. Similarly, God is inviting you to see the big picture of ultimate good news He has in store for you, even and especially when you are distracted by the pain and difficulty of certain moments along the way.

Too often in life, we know we’re stumbling around, having difficulty finding our way, but we are simultaneously unaware of our own spiritual blindness. Just as Jesus came to heal a man born blind, so Jesus comes to you to open the eyes of your heart that you might see the light of His transforming grace as you put your faith in Him.
