Who Is My Neighbor?

June 3, 2018

Sermon Points: We don’t like to consider the needs of others. For some of us, it is because we feel as if we don’t have time or because we feel that our own needs are so burdensome we don't have anything to offer. Some of use isolation and comfort to avoid considering the pain of others, because we don’t want to get dirty with the messiness of the world around us. Jesus teaches us that everyone is our neighbor. This is true no matter who they are, their political affiliation, or the color of their skin. Regardless of these things, we can’t turn a blind eye to their needs. Noteworthy Quotes: "The parable of the Good Samaritan clearly defines our neighbor as anyone at all- relatives, friends, acquaintance, stranger or enemy- whose need we see. Not all men are brothers, but every man is my neighbor." - Tim Keller
