I Know The Plans I Have For You
October 31, 2022 • Cheri Fraker • Jeremiah 29:4–14, Jeremiah 4:4–14
Today we are reading from Jeremiah Chapter 29, verses 4-14. This chapter of Jeremiah is well known for verse 11, “For I know the plans I have for you.” It is one of our favorite bible verses, but often, it is taken out of context and misinterpreted. Basically, God is speaking to His people after they have made a real mess of things. He has allowed punishment to fall on His people and He has given them a long period of correction, an exile of 70 years, before He will let them return home. An extended “time out” if you will, time to reflect and time to rebuild. They are no longer in the promised land. But God has used this season of correction to refine His people, and this punishment is intended to help them change their hearts. He is also giving them practical suggestions for how to grow, and how to overcome during this time. How Can We Pray For You? Send us an email, http://prayers@myhope.church
Psalm 22
October 24, 2022 • Cheri Fraker • Psalm 22
As you enter this time of reflection and prayer, slow down your thoughts and work to stop the world around you. The word teaches us to “take all thoughts into captivity.” So, take those racing thoughts and set them aside. Lay them down. You will be able to pick up your thoughts again soon. But in this time, in these moments of right NOW, belong only to Your Father. Turn your mind toward Him, encounter Your God and center yourself in His peace.

Begin With Prayer
September 26, 2022 • Beth Yokley • Ephesians 3:14–21
As you enter this time of reflection and prayer, slow down your thoughts and truly work to stop the world around you. In services, Brian has been challenging us to BLESS 217. BLESS is an acronym, that gives us simple ways to bless those around us, in our community. • Begin with prayer. Pray for the people in your life and the places that you’re in. • Listen. Listen to and discover the needs of others and the places where God is at work. • Eat. Share meals and spend time with people in my life. • Serve. Respond to the needs of others and help them in practical and impactful ways. • Story. Share the story of Jesus and what He is doing in my life with others.
