What if heaven is less about escaping to the clouds and more about being with Jesus, who is making everything new? The purpose of heaven is to undo death in all its forms—restoring what was lost and healing what was shattered. If this is true, then heaven's power isn’t just for someday but is also here and now, as we're set free from trying to make heaven on earth because this world is not our home.
