Jonah: Reluctant Disciple to Resilient

June 5, 2022 • Sean Blomquist • Jonah

Moving from a reluctant disciple to a resilient disciple starts with a call where God gets are attention. As we move toward completion of the call, we go down for a challenge. In Jonah's case this was the belly of a fish. Jonah's reluctance was he didn't want to love his enemies; he wanted see them suffer. We become resilient disciples as we move toward wickedness to represent Jesus; we run towards Jesus and not away from him. Resilient disciples know that Jesus is forming them, not destroying them.
