The Holiness of God

Holiness is Christ in Me

February 11, 2024 • Pastor Kevin P. Horath • Colossians 1:15–23

Being holy as God is holy means accepting that our “best” won’t be good enough. Our best pales in comparison to God’s capacity. As we strive to be holy as God is holy, we must remember that this means that we are called to reflect the holiness of God that we have received by being his people.  As such, we must take Jesus as the single most definitive explanation of God’s holiness. When we consider what holiness means to us in our lives, Jesus must be the standard. We do not simply imitate Jesus. We allow Jesus in live in us so that our lives reflect Him in all that we do.

Set Apart

February 4, 2024 • Pastor Kevin P. Horath • 1 Peter 1:13–25

God has set apart the Church to do His will. Therefore, the follower of Christ does not continue to live as before. Instead, we recognize that we are set apart for a new work. Are you set apart? What is your purpose? We want to help you find your purpose. Join us today, and on a regular basis, as we equip each other to walk "With Mission."

The Nature of God's Holiness

January 28, 2024 • Pastor Kevin P. Horath • Exodus 3:1–10

God called Moses to return to Egypt as one set apart to do God’s will. The circumstances of Moses’s calling point to a God who is wholly set apart from everything else. As such, He is able to set us apart from the world around us to fulfill His will. We are not necessary to sustain the Holiness of God. Rather, the Holiness of God is necessary to sustain us!
