Baptism Sunday

Baptism is vital to the believer. Even though it is not essential to salvation, do not let that diminish its importance. Neither is it as complicated as many in the religious world would make it. Jesus was baptized. We should be baptized. And, He commanded us to make disciples and baptize them, too. That's exactly what we are doing at Hillside today!

The Christian witness is connected to everyday life and all areas of our lives. Jesus calls us to be salt and light to the world in our daily walks. Today, we will learn to reflect the good news with how we live, no matter where we are.

The Holy Spirit empowers believers to proclaim the good news to the world but uses their personality and context to do so. It doesn't have to be scripted, awkward evangelism. Don't engage in "spiritual mugging." Instead, allow the Holy Spirit to use you as a witnesses in your world.
