The State of Communion

November 3, 2024 • Pastor Kevin P. Horath • Proverbs 6:16–19, Ephesians 4:25–32

Imagine the pride and gratitude many of us feel for our country. Most of us don’t have to imagine it because we live it. Although we are a nation with issues, I believe in the United States of America. We’re grateful for the blessings of freedom, the ideals of justice and equality, and the history of courage that have shaped our national story. Our heritage is something to celebrate; we should be thankful for it. But as followers of Jesus, we know that our ultimate citizenship belongs to another Kingdom—a Kingdom not of this world, but of Heaven.
