Solomon

August 20, 2023 • Lead Pastor Scott Kircher • 1 Kings 9:1–9, Ecclesiastes 2:4–11

What is it that we think will give us a better life?  Are their things that we pursue as goals and achievements that lead us away from our relationship with the Lord?  We must begin to understand that it is only our relationship with the Lord that we must pursue wholeheartedly that will allow us to enjoy the blessings of life.  When we instead pursue the “things” that we believe will bring life and joy, we find only worthlessness and emptiness like Solomon.

Joseph

August 13, 2023 • Lead Pastor Scott Kircher • Genesis 39

Joseph was one of the 12 sons of Israel (Jacob).  Joseph would be considered a very successful man in regards to the world’s standards when he was raised to second in command over all of Egypt.  But Joseph’s success in God’s eyes occurred much earlier in his life and extended through his time as ruler in Egypt.  What are some of the lessons of living a successful life that Joseph exhibited that we might learn from him so we too can succeed in life!

Have you ever faced fears that seem to have incapacitated you or kept you from doing what you know in your head is the right thing, but you seem unable to do it?  You fear that doing this right thing or a thing that the Lord seems to be leading you to do will so disrupt your life that you feel you can’t.  How can we overcome those fears so we can follow the Lord and be used by Him in powerful ways?

Life can be overwhelming at times.  Everyone and everything seems to demand things from us – more time, more money, more of us!  It can lead us to be stressed out, busy and fearful all a the same time.  How can we get through this life without being overwhelmed by the things that impact every one of us?

Hosea

June 18, 2023 • Lead Pastor Scott Kircher • Hosea 1—3

Love.  We have views of what love looks like, but our views of what love is only really pictures the emotional and superficial end of love.  Love is so much more, and it acts in ways that are for the long term best of those who are loved.  God has loved us with an everlasting love and through Hosea and his marriage to a prostitute, God gives a vivid demonstration of his great and unfailing love for us.

Do you ever look around and wonder if God could ever use someone like you?  Maybe you think you aren’t gifted or talented enough.  Maybe you feel you aren’t educated enough.  Perhaps you think you are too old or too young to be used by God.  Today we will look at Barnabas and see how God used someone who used his gift of encouragement to have eternal effects in the Kingdom of God.

Abraham

May 28, 2023 • Lead Pastor Scott Kircher • Genesis 22:1–18

Everyone loves a good worship experience but is that what worship really is?  Just an experience for us?  Worship is really not about us.  It is all about God and it is our response to who He is and what He has done.  How is it that we can worship in spirit and truth like the Lord desires and how can we be like Abraham, a man with a heart of worship?
