Live A Life Worthy

We are blessed! Paul has spent 3 chapters talking about the riches and the blessings we have in Christ and laying a theological framework to the unity we are to have in Christ. Now Paul encourages the Ephesians, and us, to live a life worthy of the calling we have in Christ because of the blessings we have been given. How do we do that and what does it look like?
Filled with the Fullness of God

Going through life, do you ever feel like you just can’t live the life the Lord wants you to live? Do you feel like you can’t do it anymore? Well you are not alone. It is only in Christ’s power that we are able to accomplish and live the life that he calls us to and to experience the life we desire. But to do that, we need to continually be filled with the Lord and more so as we journey with Him. This is why Paul prays for the Ephesians and it is a prayer for us as well that we might be filled with the fullness of God and live the life that experiences that and glorifies the Lord. How can we continue to grow and be filled with this fullness?

Paul spends most of his life sharing Christ so people will know Him. But how do you know if people have truly entered into that relationship. Paul talks about the evidence for the Ephesians relationship with Christ and prays a prayer for the Ephesians to know Christ more because an increasing knowldege of Him is essential for living life well.
Blessed In Christ

Life is hard sometimes, even for Christians. In those difficult times we can sometimes forget the blessings we have in Christ. We are focused instead on life’s problems and a sense of purposelessness. But when we start to see the bigger picture and understand how we are blessed in Christ, we can truly live in the joy of those blessings. As we begin our series in Ephesians today, let’s learn of the many blessings we have in Christ.
