It is easy at times for us to fall into the habit of thinking of ourselves when praying to God. We will think of what we want and try to follow our own desires, while speaking to the One with far greater things in store for us. So remember, the first thing you should do is yield to God and let him work through you.

Sometimes in life, we will go through missing out on all of the big things because we didn't ask. Don't do the same with God, he is more than happy to provide and all you have to do is ask.

Sometimes, it is easy to lose sight of God and the things he does for us in times of darkness. However, we are called to rejoice in our suffering for God is with us even then and leading us down the path he has made for us both for our good and for his.

Prayer is a powerful tool that God has given us, it allows us to connect directly to God. Sometimes, life can get in the way of us talking to God. So it is important to remember to pause, and give God our complete attention.
