Best Laid Plans...

July 10, 2011 • Keith Bradford

Jacob finally returns home after a journey full of problems and misadventure. He has four bickering wives, sons who are continuing to cause problems and has fled the land of his in-laws on less than friendly terms. But here God reminds him that he has always had a plan for him that is
relentless, eternal, all inclusive and redemptive. God's plan continues today and is worthy of trust and demonstrates that God is worthy of our worship.

50/20 Vision

September 4, 2011

Genesis 50:20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. We don't always see with correct vision. Sometimes we see what is not really there (fear) and other times we see only what we want to see (selfishness). The statement, "hindsight is 20/20 is a good one, but... there is greater vision than just 20/20. In Genesis 50:20, Joseph reveals to his brothers that even when they tried to harm him, God was at work! Joseph was looking at life through the lens' of Grace. He now recognized that God's plan will always prevail even if it doesn't appear that way. We all need this perspective. Put on the glasses of Grace and see what God is doing.

Wise Worship

August 28, 2011

Everyone, everywhere... is a worshipper. We worship all kinds of things. Foolishly, many worship themselves, fame, money, achievement, nature, false gods... the list is extensive. Worshippers who are wise recognize the one true God and worship God for who he is and what he has done. The doorway into the sanctuary is Jesus Christ who made it possible to personally come into to the presence of God the father. Jesus, we remember what you have done and we recognize your grace in our lives.
