In times of trials and suffering, we instinctively ask the question, "Why?" Suffering presents more questions than it does answers. What purpose does suffering serve in our life? At times we find ourselves wrestling with who we've become knowing that it's not who God has called us to be. Sometimes we wrestle with what we want to do and what God asks us to do. Habakkuk, a prophet with deep moral convictions. was troubled by the injustice and evil that so characterized the society of his day. He is frustrated by what he perceives to be a lack of concern and inactivity from the Lord. He wrestles with difficult questions and confronts hard realities that you have probably wondered or experienced. What do you do?

We all wrestle with something. Some of us wrestle with ourselves and even with God. Jacob's story helps us understand what it’s like to wrestle with yourself and with God.
