Prayer is quite simply talking to God, when we address him directly that is when we pray. It doesn’t need to be any more complicated than that. Our faith in Christ should be founded upon a relationship with Christ. In a relationship of any kind, one of the most important things is communication. If you don’t talk to each other, there’s not much of a relationship. If we have an active, genuine prayer life then many of the things which cause us so much grief, lose so much of their potency.

The Bible is one book comprised of 66 other books written by roughly 40 men over the course of about 1500 years. It is the very Word of God spoken to us that we can use to learn from and gain wisdom and more importantly – get to know God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We learn God’s character, who He is and what he has done and continues to do for us each and every day. We have full access to what you could call the Heavenly Wikipedia to learn everything about our God.
Building with the Holy Spirit

Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to guide and comfort us, and it’s a promise that still applies today. God’s desire is for us to be people who are willing to receive His Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our comforter and friend, and He helps us to accomplish all that God wants us to do.
