The Struggle For Happiness

November 3, 2015 • Ian Mann

2 Corinthians 13:11 (NLT) Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.

Our Emotions

November 17, 2015 • Sarah Kawalsingh

God created us in His image, and God’s emotions are revealed in the Scriptures; therefore, God created us emotional beings. We feel love, joy, happiness, guilt, anger, disappointment, fear, etc. Sometimes our emotions are pleasant to experience and sometimes not. Sometimes our emotions are grounded in truth, and sometimes they are “false” in that they are based upon false premises. Regardless, emotions are powerful and real to the one feeling them. And emotions can be helpful indicators of what is going on in our hearts.

The Problem of Loneliness

November 24, 2015 • Tanya Goffin

‘The greatest disease in the West today is not TB or leprosy; it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for. We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread but there are many more dying for a little love. The poverty in the West is a different kind of poverty -- it is not only a poverty of loneliness but also of spirituality. There's a hunger for love, as there is a hunger for God.” Mother Teresa

The Problem of Unresolved Offences

December 1, 2015 • Chip Kawalsingh

“If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back. But if you are unsuccessful, take one or two others with you and go back again, so that everything you say may be confirmed by two or three witnesses. If the person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. Then if he or she won’t accept the church’s decision, treat that person as a pagan or a corrupt tax collector. “I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. “I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” Matthew 18:15-20

The Problem of Financial Stress

December 8, 2015 • Neil Gallagher

The state of our finances matters to God. Jesus taught much in the gospels in matters relating to finances, therefore issues that relate to finance should never be a taboo subject amongst the Christian Church today.

The Struggle for Victory

December 15, 2015 • Hannah Johnston

Don’t give up. God has promised never to forsake us. He is fighting for us. God is on our side. He is fighting for us and He knows every detail of our lives and the struggles that we face. We need to surrender fully and enter Gods rest. For His rest is sweet, it is good even while we are waiting for an answer to prayer or seeing the tangible results to our victory. With Victory assured, we press on!
