If we are going to understand the Christian family, it needs to be in the context of the church family. We do not exist as separate entities on our own but we exist as families within God's family.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing[b] her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—for we are members of his body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
Parental authority is vital and helps bring stability to our society. God established mankind within the structure of family life. Children are to submit to the authority of their parents in Christ. This begins in the home and the example is fleshed out by the example of the parents.
Faith is not just about the church, but about how we behave in the work place. Regardless of like for
your boss or the company. Our Christian behaviour should express itself in our places of work, which includes our schools and universities. We should bear witness by our work ethic. We 'work' unto the Lord not man.
The Bible is a book for life not just something we read and indeed practise on Sunday but in our everyday
work place. The real challenge for us, is to represent Christ in every aspect of daily living which includes our
work place.
