The resurrection is the story of the worst thing that has ever happened becoming the greatest thing that has ever happened. Jesus' crucifixion and all the surrounding events were important steps in the fulfilment of scripture and to do the work of atonement that is needed for us to be reconciled with God.

Christ Condemned

Christ Captured

In our passage, we hear about Jesus praying in a garden. It's a garden of olive trees at a place called Gethsemane.

The cross and associated events are pivotal to the Christian faith as a witness of the redemption we have in Jesus. Not only does it serve as a reminder of what Jesus did for us but also provides the hope for our reconciliation with God.
