Eyes and Ears

Matt 13:11 Jesus answered them, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted. 12 For whoever has (AMP Spiritual knowledge), to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him. 13 Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they (AMP grasp) understand. Matt 16:13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” 14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.” 15 He *said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. GOD BUILDS UP WITH REVELATION KNOWLEDGE Eph 4:11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; Luke 10 Jesus rejoiced greatly and said, “I thank you Father that you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent revealed these things to babes.” HUMILITY IS TAKING THE POSTURE OF A CHILD. KEY’S TO RECEVING BEGIN WITH HOW YOU RECEIVE THE WORD. 1 Thess 2:13 For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe. PRAYER AND REVELATION KNOWLEDGE Eph 1:15 For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. YOUR BLESSINGS ARE CONNECTED TO YOUR REVELATION REVELATION KNOWLEDGE AFFECTS HOW YOU SEE. NOT ONLY DO WE HAVE A SUPERNATURAL RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST, WE ALSO HAVE A SUPERNATURAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THE REST OF THE BODY OF CHRIST. Heb 10:24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. SUPERNATURAL RELATIONSHIPS SPARK REVELATION KNOWLEDGE IN THE BODY, ASSEMBLY IS REQUIRED Ex. LEGO BLOCKS BEING ASSEMBLED JOHN – (JESUS CALLING HIS DISCIPLES) John 2 Jesus speaking drew Andrew and Andrew found Peter. 43 He found Philip… Philip found Nathanael Ch 3 NICODEMUS COMES TO JESUS Ch 4 WOMAN AT THE WELL 1 Cor 12:27 Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it. AMP “a separate and necessary part of it 18 But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired. SUPERNATURAL THINGS HAPPEN IN THE SUPERNATURAL CONNECTIONS. EXAMPLES IN ACTS OF THE CHURCH COMING TOGETHER Acts 4:23 - 29 And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Your bond-servants may speak Your word with all confidence, 30 while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.” 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness. THERE IS A CORORATE ANNOINTING AND CORPRATE FAITH. IN YOUR COMPANY… YOUR PLACE IS WHERE YOU GIVE OF YOUR SUPPLY AND GOD SUPPLIES YOUR NEEDS. Heb 6:11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. THE INTRODUCTION TO A NEW RELATIONSHIP CAN MANY TIMES BE THE CATALYST TO A NEW LEVEL.

John 1:16 For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. 17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. AMP For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift. Matt 11:28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” A BIG KEY IS HUMILITY. Acts 20:32 And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified. TPT the message of his grace, which is all that you need to become strong. All of God’s blessings are imparted through the message of his grace, which he provides as the spiritual inheritance given to all of his holy ones. MSG "Now I'm turning you over to God, our marvelous God whose gracious Word can make you into what he wants you to be and give you everything you could possibly need in this community of holy friends. ANOTHER WORD FOR GRACE IS HELP. James 4:6 But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.” Hebrews 4:16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. 1 Cor 1:4 I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus, 5 that in everything you were enriched in Him, in all speech and all knowledge, 6 even as the testimony concerning Christ was confirmed in you, 7 so that you are not lacking in any gift, OUR WORDS ARE TO BE SEASONED WITH GRACE AND CAN MINISTER GRACE TO OTHERS. (Col 4:6) Eph 4:29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. NKJ Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Ps 40:2 He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Acts 20:24 But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God. Eph 2:8 We are saved by grace. Romans 5:17 For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. 2 Tim 2:1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. The Lord is gracious… and we can taste of his kindness (1 Pet 2:3) THE HOLY SPIRIT IS CALLED THE SPIRIT OF GRACE (Zec 12:10) WE ARE PARTAKERS OF GRACE (Phil 1:7)

A BOOK ON SUFFERING. 2 CHAPTERS ARE ON GIVING – (8 & 9) THE KEY IS THE POWER OF SUFFERING AND IT’S ALWAYS IN REFERENCE TO “DUNAMIS”… MIRACLE WORKING POWER 2 Cor 12:6 For if I do wish to boast I will not be foolish, for I will be speaking the truth; but I refrain from this, so that no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me. 7 Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself! 8 Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me. 9 And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong INSTEAD OF WHINNING… WE ARE TO BOAST IN HIS POWER. 11: 22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they descendants of Abraham? So am I. 23 Are they servants of Christ?—I speak as if insane—I more so; in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, beaten times without number, often in danger of death. 24 Five times I received from the Jews thirty-nine lashes. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent in the deep. 26 I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my countrymen, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among false brethren; 27 I have been in labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. 28 Apart from such external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for all the churches. 29 Who is weak without my being weak? Who is led into sin without my intense concern? 30 If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my weakness. 31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, He who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying. 32 In Damascus the ethnarch under Aretas the king was guarding the city of the Damascenes in order to seize me, 33 and I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall, and so escaped his hands. 2 Cor 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves 8 we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed JESUS BECOMES SO MUCH FOR US… IN 2 CORINTHIANS HE IS OUR COMFORT – 1:5 OUR TRIUMPH – 2:14 OUR LORD – 4:5 OUR GLORY – 4:6 OUR JUDGE – 5:10 OUR RECONCILIATION – 5:19 OUR SUBSTITUTE - 5:21 OUR GIFT - 9:15 OUR MASTER - 10:7 OUR STRENGTH – 12:9 THEME VERSE 2 Cor 1:20 For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us. Eph 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; SALVATION IS AN ALL-INCLUSIVE WORD. Grk WORD; SOZO FAITH IS WHAT IS NEEDED TO ACCESS THE GRACE OF GOD. (Rom 5:2) THE MORE KNOWLEDGE YOU HAVE THE MORE FAITH YOU RECEIVE. FAITH CANNOT GO BEYOND YOUR KNOWLEDGE. Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.” THE WORK OF REDEMPTION IS SEEN CLEARLY IN COMMUNION WE LOOK AT THE CROSS AND LOOK BACK AT WHAT JESUS DID. 3 – NEW TESTAMENT SACREMENTS WATER BAPTISM, ANOINTING WITH OIL, & COMMUNION COMMUNION STANDS WAY AHEAD OF THE OTHERS BECAUSE IT POINTS SPECIFICALLY TO JESUS AND THE CROSS. COMMUNION HAS TWO ELEMENTS WHICH SPEAK OF THE TWO-FOLD WORK OF JESUS ON THE CROSS. Romans 3:23 “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Rom 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned THROUGHOUT THE WORD THE REMOVAL OF SIN AND SICKNESS GO TOGETHER. 1 Cor 11:23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. 27 Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. 28 But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly. 30 For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep (Die early). 31 But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world. TWO ELEMENTS REPEATED OVER AND OVER… BREAD AND THE CUP – BODY & BLOOD 1 Cor 10:16 Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ? IT’S THE BREAD / THE BODY THAT SPEAKS OF HEALING. THE CUP SPEAKS OF THE REMOVAL OF SIN AND THE BREAD SPEAKS OF THE REMOVAL OF SICKNESS. Acts 20:28 Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. Rom 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. 1 Pet 1:18 knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, 19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. NLT Isa 53:5 He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. (Where did Jesus take the beating at?) Matt 8:17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: “HE HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND CARRIED AWAY OUR DISEASES.” 1 Pet 2:24 for by His wounds you were healed. 1 Cor 11:30 For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep. (WHAT REASON OR CAUSE?) 29 if he does not judge the body rightly. Psalm 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; 3 Who pardons all your iniquities (cup), Who heals all your diseases (Bread); Luke 5:20 Seeing their faith, He said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven you.” 21 The scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this man who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?” 22 But Jesus, aware of their reasonings, answered and said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts? 23 Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins have been forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 24 But, so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,”—He said to the paralytic—“I say to you, get up, and pick up your stretcher and go home.” WITH THE REMOVAL OF SIN, WE HAVE THE REMOVAL OF SICKNESS DRINKING REMOVES SIN AND EATING REMOVES SICKNESS & DISEASE Gen 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem (Righteousness) brought out bread and wine; now he was a priest of God Most High. 19 He blessed him and said, “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; 20 And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” He gave him a tenth of all. RIGHTEOUSNESS IS SATISFIED BY EATING AND DRINKING Matt 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. 1 Cor 11:24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” THE POWER IS IN THE REMEMBERING. PSALM 103… FORGET NOT 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, NOTICE: TWO SEPARATE ACTIONS. WHEN WE GET BORN AGAIN WE PARTOOK OF THE CUP BUT WE HAVEN’T LEARNED TO PARTAKE OF THE BREAD. JUST LIKE YOU RECEIVED JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR YOU NEED TO RECEIVE HIM AS YOUR HEALER. Rom 10:10 With the mouth confession is made unto Sozo!

(8 AUTHORS) (GOSPELS, HISTORY, LETTERS, PROPHECY) ACTS – THE HISTORY OF THE EARLY CHURCH (SEQUAL TO LUKE) ACTS IS A BRIDGE FROM THE GOSPELS TO THE EPISTLES THE FEAST OF PENTICOST WAS COMING 50 DAY’S AFTER PASSOVER. Acts 1:1 The first account I composed, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2 until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen. 3 To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God. 4 Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me; 5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” OUR PICTURE OF JESUS IN ACTS IS “THE CHURCH – HIS BODY” ACTS IS NOT THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES BUT THE HOLY SPIRIT IN ACTION IN THE CHURCH Acts 2:1 When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance. The book of Acts breaks into 4 segments which Jesus spoke of when he said that the disciples were to preach the gospel in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth. The first preaching of the gospel was in Jerusalem, then it spread by the disciples into Judea. It went on into Samaria through Philip and the deacons, plus the apostles. Then, the gospel went into the uttermost parts of the earth with Paul. ACTS ENDS WITH PAUL IN PRISON, BUT REVELATION OPENS WITH THE LAMB ON THE THRONE. 2 MAIN CHARACTERS ARE PETER AND PAUL THEME VERSE Acts 1:8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” THE EPISTLES (LETTERS) Churches/individuals THEY DEAL WITH OUR LIFESTYLE. HOW TO LIVE A VICTORIOUS CHRISTIAN LIFE. ROMANS PAUL IS THE AUTHOR OF ROMANS. (HE WROTE 13 EPISTLES) (9 WERE TO CHURCHES) (4 WERE TO INDIVIDUALS) PAUL WROTE ROMANS FROM THE HOUSE OF GAIUS IN CORINTH (Rom 16:23) OUR PICTURE OF JESUS IN ROMANS IS “A BUTTERFLY” HOW TO LIVE IN “RESURRECTION LIFE” THAT COMES THROUGH JESUS. Romans 7 OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS AS OUR HUSBAND. Romans 7:2 For the married woman is bound by law to her husband while he is living; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband. 3 So then, if while her husband is living she is joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress though she is joined to another man. 4 Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For while we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were aroused by the Law, were at work in the members of our body to bear fruit for death. 6 But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter. THIS IS REALLY TALKING ABOUT OUR MARRIAGE TO CHRIST WHAT HAPPENS OR SHOULD HAPPEN AS A CHRISTIAN IS WE WANT TO BEGIN TO PRODUCE GOOD THINGS. Rom 6:11 Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. WE MOVE RIGHT IN TO Romans 8 AND IT SHOWS US THE POWER WE HAVE. PAUL HAS SIX REASONS FOR WRITING THIS LETER 1. HE WANTED TO CLARIFY THE PRINCIPLE OF JUSTIFICATION: WAS IT BY THE DEEDS OF THE LAW OR A WORK OF GOD APART FROM THE LAW? 2. HE WANTED TO EXPLAIN THE UNBELIEF OF ISRAEL IN THE PAST, THEIR FAILURE IN THE PREVIOUS DISPENSATION, AND OFFER A REMEDY FOR THEIR PRESENT SITUATION. 3. HE WISHED TO COMMEND PHOEBE TO THE CHURCH AT ROME. 4. HE WANTED TO CLARIFY THE ISSUE OF WHAT CONSTITUTED THE CHRISTIAN LIFE- THE OLD MOSAIC LAW OR THE NEW LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE? (Rom 8) 5. HE DESIRED TO HELP ROMAN BELIEVERS UNDERSTAND HOW TO HAVE VICTORY OVER THE FLESH BY AVOIDING TWO EXTREMES OF BELIEF IN ROME AT THE TIME. (NO FLESH AFTER SALVATION OR THERE IS NEVER ANY VICTORY OVER THE FLESH UNTIL DEATH) 6. PAUL WANTED TO PROTECT ROMAN CHRISTIANS FROM THE INFILTRATION OF LEGALISM WHICH HAD ALREAD Y MADE GREAT INROADS INTO THE ROMAN CHURCH – Ch 13-14 THEME VERSE Rom 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.”
Look At That Sozo

Romans 10:17 That faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God FAITH IS WHAT IS NEEDED TO ACCESS THE GRACE OF GOD. 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. SALVATION IS AN ALL-INCLUSIVE WORD. Grk WORD; SOZO Vs 10 “with the mouth he confesses resulting in salvation” “With the mouth he confesses resulting in healing” FAITH CANNOT GO BEYOND YOUR KNOWLEDGE. Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.” PEOPLE ARE BEING SILENCED BY A LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOD’S PROMISES John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. WHATEVER GOD GIVES BY GRACE WE MUST APPROPRIATE BY FAITH. (Eph 2:8) Rom 5:1Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand,… 2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, THERE IS MORE GRACE… 3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything (all things) pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. LIFE AND GODLINESS ARE NOT JUST SPIRITUAL THINGS. I HAVE TO GET KNOWLEDGE THAT IT’S THERE AND THEN ACCESS IT… OR RECEIVE IT BY FAITH. 4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. WE PARTAKE OF THE DIVINE NATURE THROUGH THE PRECIOUS AND MAGNIFICENT PROMISES… Prov 4:20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. (Promises) 21 Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. 22 For they are life to those who find them And health to all their body. JUST LIKE YOU CAN BELIEVE, CONFESS AND BE SAVED YOU CAN BELIEVE, CONFESS AND BE HEALED. HOW TO GIVE ATTENTION TO THE WORD. HEAR IT (EAR) AND KEEP IT BEFORE YOU (SIGHT) GET THEM IN YOUR EARS, KEEP THEM BEFORE YOUR EYES, AND KEEP THEM IN THE MIDST OF YOUR HEART. THERE IS NO DISEASE OR PLAUGE ON THIS PLANET THAT THE BLOOD CANNOT REMOVE. Matt 13:15 For the heart of this people has become dull, with their ears they scarcely hear, and they have closed their eyes, otherwise they would see with their eyes, hear with their ears, and understand with their heart and return, and I would heal them.’ 16 But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. MATTHEWS MAIN THEMES ARE; The Messiah, Israel, the law, the kingdom, and prophecy MATTHEW, MARK, AND LUKE ARE CONSIDERED THE SYNOPTIC GOSPELS BECAUSE OF THEIR SIMILARITIES. MATTHEW’S INTENT WAS TO TEACH JEWS EVERYWHERE THAT JESUS OF NAZARETH WAS THE PROMISED MESSIAH. Matthew reveals that Jesus was anointed as Prophet, Priest and King. (1 ) shows his royal descent & the Magi were looking for a king (2) shows Jesus prophetic ministry, his atoning death as a priest (His sacrifice), and His kingly anointing. THEME VERSES Matthew 3:2 “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” 3 For this is the one referred to by Isaiah the prophet when he said, “the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘make ready the way of the Lord, make His paths straight!’” THE PICTURE OF JESUS IN MARK IS “AN OX” MARK MEANS “A HAMMER.” MARK’S NAME OCCURS EIGHT TIMES IN THE N.T. He is also called “John-Mark” – John being his Jewish name, and Mark was his Roman name. THE GOSPEL OF MARK WAS WRITTEN PRIMARILY FOR GENTILE READERS IN GENERAL AND ROMAN READERS IN PARTICULAR. MARK PRESENTS CHRIST AS A MIGHTY WORKER RATHER THAN A THINKER. WE SEE A LOT OF MOVEMENT AND ACCOMPLISHMENT. Almost half of the book of Mark covers the last eight days of Jesus life where he gave himself away for our salvation. (last 7 out of 16) THREE GREEK WORDS FOR MIRACLE ARE USED IN THE GOSPEL OF MARK” (1) TERAS WHICH MEANS “A WONDER” (2) DUNAMNIS WHICH MEANS “MIRACLE-WORKING POWER” (3) SEMEION WHICH MENAS “A SIGN” Mark emphasized “Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant.” Mark 10:42-45 THEME VERSE Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” THE PICTURE OF JESUS IN LUKE IS “A MAN” LUKE MEANS “LIGHT-GIVING.” He was a physician and a gentile Christian and probably one of Paul’s converts. LUKE TRAVELED WITH PAUL AND WAS WITH HIM IN BOTH ROMAN IMPRISONMENTS. Luke emphasizes the perfect humanity of Jesus. His gospel was written primarily for the Greeks because of the emphasis on man. Luke actually wrote this and acts for Theophilus. (1:3-4) Luke traces Christ’s ancestry back to Adam (Luke 3:38) A NUMBER OF JESUS’ MIRACLES ARE RECORDED ONLY IN LUKE. At least 10 Parables are recorded only in this gospel, two of which are the prodigal son and the good Samaritan. LUKE IS THE GOSPEL OF PRAISE. It begins and ends with joy. The words rejoice and joy occur 19 times in contrast to 26 times in Mark and Matthew combined. THIS IS THE GOSPEL OF PRAYER – two parables are found here on persevering in prayer (Luke 11:5-13; 18:1-14) There are nine instances of prayer given in Jesus’ life in Luke. (3:21, 5:15-16, 6:12, 9:18, 9:29, 10:17,21, 11:1, 22:39-46, 23:34-46) THE WORD ANGEL IS USED 23 TIMES IN LUKE. THEME VERSE Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” THE PICTURE OF JESUS IN JOHN IS “THE EAGLE” JOHN MEANS “JEHOVAH IS GRACIOUS.” JOHN WROTE HIS GOSPEL AFTER THE OTHER THREE WERE WRITTEN 18 YEARS AFTER JOHN WROTE HIS GOSPEL HE WROTE THE BOOK OF REVELATION. THERE ARE SIX MIRACLES IN JOHN’S GOSPEL THAT ONLY HE RECORDED: TURNING WATER INTO WINE THE HEALING OF THE NOBLEMAN’S SON THE HEALING OF THE IMPOTENT MAN AT BETHESDA THE GIVING OF SIGHT TO A MAN BORN BLIND THE RAISING OF LAZARUS FROM THE DEAD THE DRAFT OF FISHES JOHN SHOWS IN HIS GOSPEL THAT THE MAN OF GALILEE WAS GOD. JOHN BEGINS WITH, “IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD” John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. JOHN JUST ESTABLISHED JESUS’ DIETY BY REVEALING THAT HE CREATED THE VERY WORLD WE LIVE IN. THEME VERSES John 20:30 Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.
Look At That Sozo

Rom 10:2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. 3 For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. THE NEW BIRTH OR BEING BORN AGAIN IS WHERE WE RECEIVE THE GRACE OF GOD AND HIS RIGHEOUSNESS. (Rom 5:17) GRACE IS GOD REACHING OUT TO US… FAITH IS US REACHING OUT TO GOD… James 4:6 “He gives more grace.” THE MORE FAITH WE GROW IN THE MORE GRACE WE CAN RECEIVE. 2 Pet 3:18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. IT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO GROW IN GRACE WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE. GRACE IS NOT BASED ON WHETHER I RECEIVE IT OR NOT. Titus 2:11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, GOD’S WORD REVEALS TO US ALL THE BENEFITS OF SALVATION. Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. 5 For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness. 6 But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: “DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, ‘WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?’ (that is, to bring Christ down), or ‘WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).” But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, SALVATION IS AN ALL-INCLUSIVE WORD. Grk WORD; SOZO 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. WHATEVER GOD GIVES BY GRACE WE MUST APPROPRIATE BY FAITH. (Rom 4:16) THE WORD, LIKE SEED HAS THE ABILITY TO PRODUCE FRUIT. Psalm 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes THIS IS THE WORD (SOZO) AND CAN BE TRANSLATED; HEALING, SOUNDNESS, WHOLENESS, PROVISION, PROTECTION. THERE IS NO SEPARATE WORD IN THE N.T. FOR HEALING AND SALVATION. THAT MEANS WHEN JESUS PURCHASED OUR SALVATION HE ALSO PURCHASED OUR HEALING. Vs 10 “with the mouth he confesses resulting in salvation” “With the mouth he confesses resulting in healing” James 5:14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save (SOZO) the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. PHYSICAL HEALING IS NOTHING MORE THAN SALVATION FOR THE BODY. THE SAME FAITH THAT GETS YOU SAVED GETS YOU HEALED 11 For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13 for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” (Sozo) 14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!” 16 However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, “LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
Jesus In Every Book Of The Bible
WE ARE LOOKING AT JESUS IN EVERY BOOK OF THE BIBLE… Jesus is… “the seed” in Genesis “THE LAMB” in exodus “the head covering of the priest (MITRE)” in leviticus “THE FIRE” IN NUMBERS “THE WORD” in DEUTERONOMY “our flag of victory” in Joshua “the righteous judge” in judges “OUR KINSMAN-REDEEMER” IN RUTH “THE MOUTH & PROPHETS” IN 1, 2 SAMUEL, 1,2 kings & 1,2 ChroNIC “OUR RESTORER” IN EZRA & NEHEMIAH “OUR MEDIATOR” IN ESTHER “A REVELATION OF RIGHTEOUSNESS” IN JOB “THE SON OF GOD” IN PSALMS “WISDOM” IN PROVERBS “THE GREAT SHEPHERD” IN ECCLESIATES “THE LOVER OF OUR SOULS” IN SONG OF SOLOMON. “THE SIGN” IN ISAIAH “THE BRANCH” IN JEREMIAH “THE MAN OF SORROWS” IN LAMENTATIONS “THE LORD IS THERE” IN EZEKIEL “THE GREAT STONE” IN DANIEL “OUR HUSBAND” IN HOSEA “THE BAPTIZER IN THE HOLY SPIRIT” IN JOEL “THE PLUMB LINE” IN AMOS “RULER OF THE NATIONS” IN OBADIAH “THE RISEN PROPHET” IN JONAH “THE BETHLEHEMITE” IN MICAH “THE LORD OF HOSTS” IN NAHUM “SALVATION” IN HABAKKUK “THE RETURNING KING” IN ZEPHANIAH “JESUS IN THE TEMPLE” IN HAGGAI “THE PIERCED ONE” IN ZECHARIAH “THE MESSENGER” IN MALACHI 33 PICTURES OF JESUS IN 39 BOOKS THE NEW TESTAMENT (27) (8 AUTHORS) THESE BOOKS ARE MARKED OFF IN SECTIONS (GOSPELS, HISTORY, LETTERS, PROPHECY) GAL 4:4 BUT WHEN THE FULLNESS OF THE TIME CAME, GOD SENT FORTH HIS SON… GOSPEL MEANS; GOOD NEWS. THERE ARE FOUR OF THEM, WRITTEN BY FOUR DIFFERENT AUTHORS EACH GOSPEL HAS A PICTURE OF JESUS AN THEY CO-INSDIE WITH THE FOUR CREATURES AT THE THRONE IN REVELATON 4:6-7 6 AND BEFORE THE THRONE THERE WAS SOMETHING LIKE A SEA OF GLASS, LIKE CRYSTAL; AND IN THE CENTER AND AROUND THE THRONE, FOUR LIVING CREATURES FULL OF EYES IN FRONT AND BEHIND. 7 THE FIRST CREATURE WAS LIKE A LION, AND THE SECOND CREATURE LIKE A CALF, AND THE THIRD CREATURE HAD A FACE LIKE THAT OF A MAN, AND THE FOURTH CREATURE WAS LIKE A FLYING EAGLE. EZ 1:10 AS FOR THE FORM OF THEIR FACES, EACH HAD THE FACE OF A MAN; ALL FOUR HAD THE FACE OF A LION ON THE RIGHT AND THE FACE OF A BULL ON THE LEFT, AND ALL FOUR HAD THE FACE OF AN EAGLE. 14 AND THE LIVING BEINGS RAN TO AND FRO LIKE BOLTS OF LIGHTNING. OUR PICTURE OF JESUS IN MATTHEW IS “A LION” WE SEE JESUS IN AUTHORITY. JESUS IS THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH. THE PICTURE OF JESUS IN MARK IS “AN OX” JESUS AS SERVANT THE PICTURE OF JESUS IN MARK IS “A MAN” HE IS CALLED “THE SON OF MAN” IN LUKE REPEATEDLY THE PICTURE OF JESUS IN JOHN IS “THE EAGLE” BECAUSE IT HAS TO DO WITH HIS DIVINITY. JOHN HAS THE 7 “I AM’S OF JESUS” THESE 4 PICTURES OF THE GOSPELS REVEAL THE FOUR-FOLD MINISTRY OF JESUS, THE MESSIAH AND WHO HE IS TO US TODAY. THESE PICTURES REVEAL THE PERFECTLY BALANCED MINISTRY OF JESUS IN OUR LIVES. HE IS A LION, AND WHEN YOU GET SAVED, ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS YOU SEE IS ANSWERED PRAYER. WE PRAY IN THE NAME OF JESUS; HE IS OUR AUTHORITY IN EARTH 1 JOHN 4:4 GREATER IS HE THAT’S IN YOU THAN HE THAT’S IN THE WORLD. IN MARK JESUS IS THE OX, A SERVANT ANIMAL. HE LIVED TO SERVE AND DIED AS A SERVANT… HIS ATTITUDE (PHI 2) SOMETIMES YOU’RE NOT GOING TO BE A LION, YOU’RE GOING TO BE A SERVANT. NO ONE GRADUATES FROM THE SCHOOL OF SERVANTHOOD. IN LUKE WE SEE JESUS AS THE PICTURE OF A MAN. BECAUSE WE ARE TO BE SOUL WINNERS. PEOPLE WANT TO SEE SOMEBODY THEY CAN RELATE TO. BE WILLING TO GET IN SOMEBODIES BOAT! IN JOHN WE SEE THE DIVINITY OF JESUS (EAGLE) AND WE ALWAYS SEE A DEMONSTRATION BEFORE THE “I AM” IN JOHN 2 HE TURNED THE WATER INTO WINE AND IN JOHN 15 HE SAID, “I AM THE VINE.” IN JOHN 4 A MAN COMES TO JESUS AND ASKS HIM TO HEAL HIS SON AND JESUS TELLS HIM TO, “GO YOUR WAY, YOUR SON LIVES” JOHN 14 JESUS SAID, “I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE”. JOHN 5 JESUS GOES TO THE POOL OF BETHESDA AND SEES A MAN CRIPLED (38 YRS). HE SAID IN JOHN 10: “I AM THE DOOR” JOHN 6 THERE ARE 2 DEMONSTRATIONS THAT ARE VERY POWERFUL THE LITTLE BOY WHO COMES WITH 5 LOAVES & 2 FISH. THE 2 GREATEST MIRACLES IN JOHN JESUS GAVE THANKS. SOMETIMES OUR PRAISE IS THE BIGGEST EXPRESSION OF FAITH. THEN JESUS PROCLAIMS; “I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE” JESUS SENT THE DISCIPLES ACROSS THE SEA, AND IN THE NIGHT HE COMES WALKING ON THE WATER. HE GETS IN THE BOAT AND IMMEDIATELY THEY ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE. THEN HE TOLD THE GUY’S JOHN 10, “I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERED” JOHN 8 THERE IS A WOMAN WHO IS CAUGHT IN THE ACT OF ADULTRY AND THEY THROW HER AT JESUS FEET. HE SAY’S TO THE WOMAN, “WHERE ARE YOUR ACCUSERS?” SHE SAID, THERE ARE NONE… JESUS SAY’S, “I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. HE WHO FOLLOWS ME SHALL NOT WALK IN DARKNESS BUT SHALL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE” JOHN 11 LAZARUS DIES. JESUS SAID, “I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE”.

Did you call me?” “I didn’t call you,” Eli replied. “Go back to bed.” So he did. 6 Then the Lord called out again, “Samuel!” Again Samuel got up and went to Eli. “Here I am. Did you call me?” “I didn’t call you, my son,” Eli said. “Go back to bed.” 7 Samuel did not yet know the Lord because he had never had a message from the Lord before. 8 So the Lord called a third time, and once more Samuel got up and went to Eli. “Here I am. Did you call me?” Then Eli realized it was the Lord who was calling the boy. 9 So he said to Samuel, “Go and lie down again, and if someone calls again, say, ‘Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went back to bed. 10 And the Lord came and called as before, “Samuel! Proverbs 19:21 Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand. Eph. 5:15-16 amp Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people),16 Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. Eccl. 3:1ampc to everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven Ignorance of our purpose is dangerous because it permits the possibility that we live our lives and never know why we live. Parable of the Good Samaritan LUKE 10:30 NIV 30 Jesus replied with a story: “A Jewish man was traveling from Jerusalem down to Jericho, and he was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him up, and left him half dead beside the road. 31 “By chance a priest came along. But when he saw the man lying there, he crossed to the other side of the road and passed him by. 32 A Temple assistant[a] walked over and looked at him lying there, but he also passed by on the other side. 33 “Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him. 34 Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him.35 The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins,[b] telling him, ‘Take care of this man. Faith For Now
August 1, 2021 • Pastor Bracken Christian • 1 Corinthians 13:12
1 Cor 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. TPT 13 Until then, there are three things that remain: faith, hope, and love… 3 INGREDIENTS VITAL TO THIS LIFE IN THE HERE AND NOW. LOVE OF COURSE IS THE GREATEST MESS 14:1 Go after a life of love as if your life depended on it—because it does. HOPE IS VITAL BECAUSE IT’S CONNECTED TO YOUR EXPECTATION. Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAITH AND HOPE IS SUBSTANCE. Heb 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction (EVIDENCE) of things not seen. FAITH IS LOCATED IN THE HEART. HOPE IS OF THE SOUL (MIND) 1 Thess 5:8 But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. FAITH IS VITAL BECAUSE WITHOUT IT WE CANNOT PLEASE GOD. 2 Cor 5:1 For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven, 3 inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked. 4 For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. 6 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord— 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight— FAITH IN THE NOW MEANS; I’M WILLING TO BE CONTENT NOT TO SEE. FAITH RELATES TO TWO ETERNAL, INVISIBLE REALITIES: TO GOD HIMSELF AND TO HIS WORD. GOD HAS GIVEN EVERY MAN A MEASURE OF FAITH Rom 12:3 God has allotted to each a measure of faith. HOW DOES FAITH COME? Rom 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. FAITH IS TO AFFECT EVERYTHING WE DO BECAUSE IT’S A LIFESTYLE Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death; AND HE WAS NOT FOUND BECAUSE GOD TOOK HIM UP; for he obtained the witness that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. WE HAVE NO REAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD APART FROM HIS WORD Vs 6 2 WORDS FAITH AND BELIEVE… FAITH IS A NOUN, BELIEVE IS A VERB BELIEVING IS EXERCISING FAITH. EXERCISING FAITH IS BELIEVING. THE OPPOSITE OF FAITH IS? “UNBELIEF”… A NOUN. I CAN HAVE FAITH AND IT IS DORMANT. JAMES CALLS IT DEAD FAITH. James 2:14 What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? 17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. 18 But someone may well say, “you have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” 19 You believe that God is one. You do well; The demons also believe, and shudder. 20 But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless? 26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. A PERSON WHO TRULY BELIEVES WILL BE CHANGED BY WHAT THEY BELIEVE. 2 Tim 1:3 I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience the way my forefathers did, as I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day, longing to see you, even as I recall your tears, so that I may be filled with joy. For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am sure that it is in you as well. 6 For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of god which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. Eph 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 16 In addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. “FAITH OPENS THE DOOR TO THE SUPERNATUAL” (Kenneth Hagin) TPT Rom 12:25 Jesus’ God-given destiny was to be the sacrifice to take away sins, and now he is our mercy seat because of his death on the cross. We come to him for mercy, for God has made a provision for us to be forgiven by faith in the sacred blood of Jesus.
The Judgement Seat Of Christ

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 of instruction about washings and laying on of hands, and the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment. TIME IS A MYSTERY 2 Peter 3 SAY’S, 1 DAY WITH THE LORD IS AS A THOUSAND YEARS AND A THOUSAND YEARS AS ONE DAY. 2 Cor 4:18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; (2 REALMS) for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. THROUGH GOD’S WORD AND FAITH, WE CAN SEE INTO ETERNITY. 1 Cor 15:19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied. 1 Cor 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. A BLUR IN OUR UNDERSTANDING RESULTS IN MISGUIDED PURSUITS WHAT ARE WE BUILDING IN THIS LIFE FOR ETERNITY? 1 Tim 6:17 Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. 18 Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, 19 storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed. Mark 10:29 Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, 30 but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life. 2 Tim 4:1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom WE GO TO HEAVEN BECAUSE JESUS WILL RAPTURE THE CHURCH AND COME FOR THE LIVING… HIS BODY. 2 Thess 2:1 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, Wuest; THIS REFERENCES OUR GATHERING TO HIM Vs 1 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 1 Thess 4:13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Cor 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. Phil 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; 21 who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself. Col 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST WILL TAKE PLACE IN HEAVEN. THE GRK WORD “BEMA” – REWARD SEAT… Rev 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them.” Rom 14:10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11 For it is written, “AS I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL GIVE PRAISE TO GOD.” 12 So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God. ALL CHRISTIANS ARE TAKEN IN THE RAPTURE WE WON’T BE JUDGED… OUR WORKS WILL BE JUDGED. Rom 2:16 on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus. 1 Cor 3:10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. 11 For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. 14 If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. PART OF OUR GOOD WORKS IS WITNESSING… THERE ARE CROWNS Dan 12:3 Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. 1 Cor 15 TELLS US, NO TWO CHRISTIANS WILL BE ALIKE. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. WHAT YOU HAVE LEFT OVER WILL DETERMINE HOW MUCH YOU SHINE Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, 26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. Jude 24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, Acts 17:30 Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, 31 because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”

ZEPHANIAH ZEPHANIAH MEANS; JEHOVAH HIDES Zephaniah’s theme is very similar to JOEL – “The day of the Lord” “The coming wrath, fierce anger, and the fire of God’s jealousy” ZEPHANIAH’S PROPHECIES OF JUDGMENT WERE UPON JUDAH. ABOUT 40 YRS BEFORE THE FALL. Chapter 3:14-20 HE GAVE THE BEAUTIFUL JOYS OF RESTORATION. HE ENCOURAGES THE REMNANT THAT THERE WILL BE A FINAL, COMPLETE RESTORATION UNDER THE MESSIAH. Zephaniah 3:9 WE LEARN THAT WHAT WAS LOST AT BABEL WILL BE RESTORED – ONE PURE LANGUAGE. RESTORATION IS A THEME WE SEE PROPHET AFTER PROPHET SPEAKING ABOUT Zeph 3:20 “At that time I will bring you in, Even at the time when I gather you together; Indeed, I will give you renown and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I restore your fortunes before your eyes,” Says the LORD. JESUS ALLUDES TO Zeph 1:3 in Matt 13:41 The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, Zeph 1:3 “I will remove man and beast; I will remove the birds of the sky And the fish of the sea, And the ruins along with the wicked; And I will cut off man from the face of the earth,” declares the LORD. JESUS ALSO ALLUDED TO Zephaniah IN Matt 24:29 “But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Zeph 1:15 A day of wrath is that day, A day of trouble and distress, A day of destruction and desolation, A day of darkness and gloom, A day of clouds and thick darkness, Zeph REFERS TO THE “DAY OF THE LORD” 23 TIMES IN ONLY 3 Ch’s. OUR PICTURE OF JESUS IS “THE RETURNING KING” THEME VERSE Zephaniah 1:7 Be silent before the Lord GOD! For the day of the LORD is near, For the LORD has prepared a sacrifice, He has consecrated His guests. HAGGAI HAGGAI MEANS: “FESTAL” WHEN WE WALK IN FAITH, GOD WILL CAUSE THE OBSTACLES AROUND US TO FALL HE SAY’S SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT. Haggai 2:9 ‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘and in this place I will give peace,’ declares the LORD of hosts.” HE TELLS ABOUT SOMEONE WHO IS GOING TO COME INTO THIS HOUSE. THIS IS THE TEMPLE JESUS WALKED IN. WOULD THE GLORY BE GREATER THAN SOLOMONS? OUR PICTURE IN HAGGAI IS “JESUS IN THE TEMPLE” HAGGAI STIRS THE PEOPLE TO BUILD AND THEY GET IT DONE IN 4 YRS. TWICE HAGGAI REFERS TO THE FUTURE RENOVATION OF THE HEAVENS AND EARTH BY A GREAT SHAKING AT THE END OF THE MILLENNIUM (Hag 2:6,20-23. Heb 12:24-28) 2:23 ‘On that day,’ declares the LORD of hosts, ‘I will take you, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, My servant,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will make you like a signet ring, for I have chosen you,’” declares the LORD of hosts. ZERUBBABEL BECAME THE RING WHICH JOINED BOTH JOSEPH AND MARY’S LINEAGES TOGETHER AT ONE POINT IN TIME. HE WAS IN THE LINNEAGE OF JESUS. THEME VERSE Haggai 2:9 ‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘and in this place I will give peace,’ declares the LORD of hosts.” ZECHARIAH ZECHARIAH IS A COMPANION PROPHET TO HAGGAI. ZECHARIAH MEANS: “JEJOVAH REMEMBERS” EZRA MENTIONS ZECHARIAH ALONG WITH HAGGAI...(Ezra 5:1, 6:14) ZECHARIAH HAS VISIONS… 10 OF THEM TO BE EXACT. HE USES THE TITLE “LORD OF HOSTS” 52 TIMES. CHAPTERS 1-8 WERE WRITTEN WHILE THE TEMPLE WAS BEING BUILT. 9-14 WERE WRITTEN AFTER THE TEMPLE WAS COMPLETED. OUR PICTURE OF JESUS IN ZECHARIAH IS “THE PIERCED ONE” 12:10 “I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. (9:9) THEME VERSE Zechariah 1:3 Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, “Return to Me,” declares the LORD of hosts, “that I may return to you,” says the LORD of hosts. MALACHI MALACHI MEANS: “MY MESSENGER” - THE LAST PROPHET BEFORE JOHN THE BAPTIST. NEHIEMIAH AND MALACHI WERE CONTEMPORARIES. HE SPEAKS OF SEVERAL MESSENGERS Mal 2:7 For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge, and men should seek instruction from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts. GOD SENDS HIS MINISTERS TO BE HIS MESSENGERS. 3:1 “Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the LORD of hosts. OUR PICTURE OF JESUS IN MALACHI IS “THE MESSENGER” THEN HE TALKS ABOUT ONE MORE MESSENGER IN Ch 4:5 “Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the LORD. 6 He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse.” HE MENTIONS MOSES IN Vs 4 JUST BEFORE THIS… MOSES AND ELIJAH ARE THE TWO WITNESS IN REVELATION. THESE 2 WITNESSES / MESSENGERS CALL DOWN FIRE, PLAGUES… THEY DO THE EXACT THINGS THAT MOSES AND ELIJAH DID. THEME VERSE Malachi 3:17 “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.”
