THERE ARE THREE PURPOSES FOR HAVING VISION.
1. A VISION, WHICH EVERY PERSON CAN HAVE AND SHOULD HAVE WHICH INCLUDES ALL OF GOD’S PROMISES.
2. A VISION GOD GIVES, HIS PLAN AND WILL FOR YOUR LIFE/ (MINISTRY) -- A VIEW OF YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE.
3. VISION -- CORPRATE VISION FOR A CHURCH, MINISTRY OR BUSINESS.
WHAT VISION WILL PRODUCE IN YOUR LIFE (benefits)
1. CONFIDENCE
LIFE OF MOSES; Exodus 3:11 – Ch 5 HE HAD CONFIDENCE
CONFIDENCE REMOVES PRESSURE.
2. JOY
(Prov 29:18) “HAPPY”
Heb 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
VISION TELLS ME WHERE I’M GONNA BE.
Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
JOY PRODUCES ENDURANCE (STRENGTH), STAMINA
Nehemiah 8:10 The joy of the Lord is your strength
3. DISCIPLINE
Prv 29:18 Where there is no vision the people cast off restraint (No discipline).
WHEN A VISION IS IN PLACE... A SENSES OF URGENCY IS PRESENT... PROCRASTINATION FEELS LIKE SIN... TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.
AS CHURCHES, AND PARENTS... WE’VE BEEN GUILTY OF PREACHING DISICIPLINE WITH NO VISION.
DISCIPLINE WITHOUT VISION CAN PRODUCE BURN-OUT...
1 Cor 9:24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.
25 Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; 27 but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
WHY DOES AN ATHLETE DISICIPLINE THEMSELVES? THE DREAM!

By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can’t see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being. So nobody has a good excuse. What happened was this: People knew God perfectly well, but when they didn’t treat him like God, refusing to worship him, they trivialized themselves into silliness and confusion so that there was neither sense nor direction left in their lives. They pretended to know it all, but were illiterate regarding life. They traded the glory of God who holds the whole world in his hands for cheap figurines you can buy at any roadside stand. 24-25 So God said, in effect, “If that’s what you want, that’s what you get.” It wasn’t long before they were living in a pigpen, smeared with filth, filthy inside and out. And all this because they traded the true God for a fake god, and worshiped the god they made instead of the God who made them—the God we bless, the God who blesses us. Oh, yes! 26-27 Worse followed. Refusing to know God, they soon didn’t know how to be human either—women didn’t know how to be women, men didn’t know how to be men. Sexually confused, they abused and defiled one another, women with women, men with men—all lust, no love. And then they paid for it, oh, how they paid for it—emptied of God and love, godless and loveless wretches. 28-32 Since they didn’t bother to acknowledge God, God quit bothering them and let them run loose. And then all hell broke loose: rampant evil, grabbing and grasping, vicious backstabbing. They made life hell on earth with their envy, wanton killing, bickering, and cheating. Look at them: mean-spirited, venomous, fork-tongued God-bashers. Bullies, swaggerers, insufferable windbags! They keep inventing new ways of wrecking lives. They ditch their parents when they get in the way. Stupid, slimy, cruel, cold-blooded. And it’s not as if they don’t know better. They know perfectly well they’re spitting in God’s face. And they don’t care—worse, they hand out prizes to those who do the worst things best!

ORIGINS AND BUILDING BLOCKS TRUTH: CREATES….IT IS MY ORIGIN REDEEMS & RE-CREATES THE DOORWAY FEEDS…TRUTH IS MY FOOD & WATER FOR MY SPRIT-PERSON WAGES WAR IN BATTLE DELIVERS GUIDES HEALS JESUS IS THE WORD AND THE WORD IS TRUTH. · John 14:6 I am the Way the Truth and the Life · John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth, your word is truth · Psalm 119:160 The sum of your word is truth and every one of your righteous rules endures forever · 1 Peter 1:23 having been born not of a corruptible seed but of incorruptible, by the seed of the WORD OF GOD that lives and abides forever!! · James 1:18- Of His own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. OUR RE-BIRTH- THE NEW CREATION Born of the Water Born of the Spirit Brought of the Word John 3:5- except a man be born of water of the Spirit he can not enter the kingdom of God. TRUTH REDEEMS In order to corrupt God’s creation Satan had to attack truth. In order to Redeem humanity God had to send Jesus, The Truth to defeat Satan. Jesus (The Truth) is the Door *Psalm 119:130 The entrance of your Word brings light *Magnifying truth takes you into God’s presence “If I can live in constant revelation of TRUTH then I can experience more and more full measures of God.” BELIEF SYSTEMS “The systems of truth that you meditate on have the ability to propel you into the stratosphere where all things are possible OR chain you completely to the prisons of impossibility.” Proverbs 23:7- As a man believes in his heart so he is. MEDITATING ON TRUTH · Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. · Ephesians 6:14 stand, therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth… · Psalm 119:11- I have hidden your Word (Truth) in my heart that I might not sin against you · Isaiah 26:3- You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. · Truth effects your every moment- Good themes….good meditations….Light · Psalm 119:107 I am afflicted very much; Revive me (quicken me), O LORD, according to Your word. · Psalm 51:6- Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart. Dwell in fullness- A belief system where you’re constantly delivered…where you’re constantly healed…always prosperous, always victorious- be renewed in the spirit of your mind! Activate! Be quickened! Let the glory God has placed in you be manifest!
