Jesus the Messiah, in whom the Father is pleased, reveals His divine authority and His glory. Jesus will take His disciples to a high mountain where they are eyewitnesses of His transfiguration. There He corrects their perspective on the coming of Elijah.

Arriving at chapter two, he introduces us to a strange cast of characters.
