Join our Team as we partner with Roberto and Esther Sigcho & Hector and Silvia Martinez in Merida, Mexico. Trip is limited to 20 people. The sign up deadline is November 7th. This will be a great week for missions in Merida. These are some of the activities that we have planned for your time with us: We will help “Oid a Jesus” “Listen to Jesus” Baptist Church in Progreso with a children’s program for 30+ kids from Tuesday to Thursday evenings. We will have an opening with songs and prayer, Bible story time, Bible verse memorization. Then we will divide the kids in 2 groups for a time of crafts. At the end we will have a closing and a snack as the kids leave. Because of the pandemic we might be limited to a maximum of 1 hour with the kids. On Thursday, we may have the opportunity to deliver OCC shoe boxes to the kids. Before the VBS activity we will have time to go prayer walking and doing door to door evangelism in the community. We will use food baskets as a tool to fulfill the physical needs of the people, but most importantly we will share the Good news of Christ with them to fulfill their greatest need, which is salvation. In the mornings we will work on a construction/improvement project at the Seminary Campus inXmatkuil and will have time to prepare for each day of VBS. On Friday, December 31st, we will participate in a special New Year’s Eve Service. See Historic downtown Merida, the Mayan ruins of Mayapan, visit a Cenote (and a local beach). We will attend church in Progreso on Friday Evening. Casual clothes are OK, no shorts.
