Legacy

A Legacy of Generosity

November 13, 2022 • Rev. Wendy Jones • 2 Corinthians 9:6–15

God is generous, extravagantly generous – always going above and beyond what is necessary to bless and love us. Everything that God entrusts to us – God invites us to share with others. So that we can also be extravagantly generous, like God! As a church family, we have an incredible opportunity to leave a legacy that will bless this generation and many generations to come! On Sunday, we will renew our commitment to support the mission and ministry of the church with our financial resources.

A Legacy of Faith

November 6, 2022 • Rev. Wendy Jones • Deuteronomy 6:1–9, Hebrews 11:1

Faith, that is the ability to trust in Jesus to love and save us is a gift from God. But most of us know God and have faith in Jesus because someone else shared it with us. The greatest legacy we receive and that we can leave is the legacy of faith. This Sunday, we will celebrate the faith of those we have loved and lost through a service of celebration and remembrance. And we will recommit ourselves to building a legacy of faith for others.

A Legacy of Service

October 30, 2022 • Rev. Wendy Jones • 2 Timothy 4:6–8, Philippians 2:17

God entrusts us with the gift of life! We can choose to live for ourselves or for the sake of others. Jesus challenges us to serve others because Jesus knows that it is more blessed to give than to receive. A life spent serving others builds a lasting legacy that changes hearts and lives.

A Legacy of Identity

October 23, 2022 • Rev. Jason Mincey • Jeremiah 1:4–10

As Christians, we have to know who we are before we can know what we’re supposed to do. That’s why having a sense of identity is so important. Those people in our lives who help us understand who we are in Christ give us a tremendous gift. And once we receive that gift, we can share it with others. Join us this week as we talk about what it means to give and to receive a legacy of identity.

A Legacy of Time

October 16, 2022 • Rev. Wendy Jones • Psalm 90:12, Ephesians 5:15–16

Time is a gift that can be used for good or carelessly wasted. What does it mean to be a good steward of the gift of time? How does investing our time wisely – enable us to build a lasting legacy?
