Yield

A yield sign is a reminder to slow down, to be alert and prepared to stop, if necessary, to let others go first. If we are honest, we’d rather speed up so we go first. But what if a simple yield sign reminded us to love God and others by allowing them to go first?

U-Turn

It’s easy to get off-track in life; it happens to all of us.  We make a bad choice, or two, or a handful, and before we know it, we’re lost.  When that happens, the best thing to do is to change course.  That’s what repentance is.  It starts with realizing that we’re lost, and then admitting that only God can get us back on track.  But we have to be willing.  We have to find the courage to take that first step in a new direction. 

Detour

On any road trip we may find ourselves in expected places due to a detour. Detours catch us off guard and usually cause a frustrating delay in reaching our destination. But they can also take us to unexpected places, that bring unexpected blessings or lessons that we would have otherwise missed. 

Speed Limit

Speed limits exist to provide safety and protection for all drivers. And yet, most of us often drive right up too and perhaps even a little beyond the limit. The same is true in our lives, we have limits and boundaries for our safety and protection. And yet, most of us push ourselves beyond them ... Perhaps, it’s time to live within our limitations.
