ew year, new goals. Lose weight. Get that promotion. Learn a new language. Read the Bible more. Making new resolutions at the start of every year can be invigorating. Falling short of attaining our goals? Not so much.
But maybe we’re looking at it all wrong. What if we were to shift our focus: from trying to rebuild ourselves, to asking God to use us to build up others? That’s what baptism is all about. And as believers, that’s where we shine.
