Great Ionia: The Chinese Connection

It was the Chinese who gave the name Great Ionia (Da Yuan) to the Greek speaking kingdom that was founded on the outskirts of the Chinese Empire in Hellenistic times. As it became isolated, memory of it was lost among the Greeks and it only survives through the Chinese historical records.
