Pastor Mat takes us through these verses, showing us how to discern destructive worldliness in our lives and then to use that knowledge to instead draw nearer to God.

In this portion of James' epistle, he talks about wisdom from above. Wisdom is not merely head-knowledge, but it will be demonstrated in our lives in our good conduct. Pastor Mat points out that true wisdom, that wisdom from above, is also evident in its meek manner. It does not do its good works in order to draw attention to itself, but to bring glory to God.
