Called to Build

For the past 3 weeks, Pastor Tom and the Grand View Christian Community have been rediscovering God's call to build. As Christians we are called to build our faith, called to build up God's church, and this week - called to build a legacy. Not a legacy like many in the world would define it, but a legacy marked by showing others Jesus.

Tom Shinkle looks at the principles for Nehemiah and his building project of rebuilding the wall - and challenges us to continue God's work of building in this world. The truth is God calls God's people and His church into action, to say to those who need to hear it - "Come to me, all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest."

We believe God is doing a new thing in God's Church - globally and locally - including our Christian Community called Grand View. Rev. Tom looks at the story of Moses and the ark and reminds us of God's calling for His church to continue to build - to have places where people can be safe from the storms of this world. How are we, as a Christian community at Grand View, Wesley, and Center Grove, following that calling?
