The Good Samaritan

Luke 10:25-37

This familiar passage is the pinnacle of Christian ethical teaching. It shows us what it means to love a neighbor as ourselves. But it also does more. It shows us our need for a Savior and provides the motivation and heart change necessary for real obedience.

In a confrontation with the Pharisees, Jesus teaches us about God’s heart for the lost by giving the Parable of the Lost Sheep, Parable of the Lost Coin, and the Parable of the Lost Son, also known as the Parable of the Prodigal Son.
