February 24, 2023
6:30 - 9:30pm

We'll kick off the retreat weekend with dinner, teaching, and time for reflection and fellowship. Dinner begins at 6:30PM (come as early as 6PM to enjoy more fellowship) and the program will start at 7:30PM. The cost for the entire retreat is $60. The cost for attending one day is $30. Online payments are preferred. To pay by cash or check, contact Pastor Marc to register the old skool way. If you would like a scholarship, contact Pastor Marc as well. If you would like to provide a scholarship, you can add a guest to your registration and mark "scholarship" in the name or notes. Please register for each day of attendance. Our guest speaker, Sid Druen, will walk us through the life of King David and the psalms to help us ask the question: “How do we process our lives before God?” Though a “man after God’s own heart” his life was marked not only by success and faithfulness, but also failure and heartache. We’ll look at David’s outer life and how he gave words to his emotions and deepest longings — words we often grasp for and get stuck in our throats when we lay our lives bare before God. Sid was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and a graduate of Davidson College (where he became a christian and met his wife, Tere) and Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. He was a campus minister with Reformed University Fellowship (RUF), first at New Mexico State University and then at Davidson College. He is now the pastor of community groups at Hope Community Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. Sid's a fan of strong cups of coffee, a good story (novels, movies, and tv shows), walking in the woods or hiking in the mountains, watching sports (especially Charlotte FC, the Panthers, and Ohio State), and playing sports where you mostly stand around and sometimes sweat.
