In Matthew 22:37, we were commanded to first and foremost, love God with all our hearts. When we meditate on and understand how greatly God has loved us, it is then that we respond in worship and grow in our love for him. Our love for God naturally overflows into loving our neighbor, which is God's second commandment. (Matthew 22:39)
