“Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit-you choose,” says Proverbs 18:21 (MSG). The Old and the New Testament present a clear, consistent message – words are powerful. Many of us have felt the sting of another’s words. Just as many of us have wielded words in ways that have wounded others. But not many of us carve out time to talk about the power of our words, why we use them the way we do, and how the gospel brings the power and hope we need to transform our words.
