Is there any one person who truly worships God? Each of us was created to worship God with our lives: to put our hope and trust in Him and to walk with Him in loving relationship. But if we are really honest, we would admit that often our hope is not in God, but in the comfort and quality of the life we get as a result of being labeled “His.” Somewhere in our thinking, we have morphed what God designed to be a relationship into a contractual agreement: “I serve God, then God serves me.” This series through the book of Job raises questions about the authenticity of our faith and helps us to see where our trust would be if we were stripped down with nothing left.
