Fresh Start

April 26, 2020 • Bill Gehm

After the resurrection, Jesus appeared to the disciples. He proved himself physically. Then he opened the scriptures and "He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures." Jesus is real, heaven is real, your Bible is true, now let's get back to the Gospel!

Resurrected Hope

March 29, 2020 • Bill Gehm

Our hope comes from Jesus and His resurrection, and in this unique time in history, we need to rely on that hope. That hope should sustain us and open our eyes to opportunities to reach out to others who need that hope!

Christ Crucified

March 11, 2020 • Bill Gehm

The cross. We brag about it. We boast about it. Jesus went to the cross to save us from our sins, but we are thankful that he is still not hanging on the cross. He is risen!

The Cross of Christ

February 26, 2020 • Bill Gehm

The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ was brutal and bloody. Our Saviour was pushed to his limits physically and emotionally. He died for you, all you have to do is accept Him as your savior, and just like the thief on the cross next to Jesus, you will be with Jesus in Paradise.

The Great Exchange

February 19, 2020 • Bill Gehm

When Jesus was handed over to Pilot an exchange was made. Barabbas was released. Barabas was a rebel and a murderer. Jesus took his place to be hung on a cross. You are a sinner. Just like Barabbas you are not worthy. Jesus took your place too!

John Wayne Christianity?

February 12, 2020 • Bill Gehm

When Judas betrayed Jesus in the garden, Peter reacted by pulling out his sword, but it wasn't time for that. There are times we need to pull out our sword (the Word) and wield it, but we really need to seek God, because sometimes we need to pull our a sponge instead and be a servant. We are called to be shepherds, not cowboys!

Why Do You Sleep? Rise and Pray

February 5, 2020 • Bill Gehm

It's amazing that we can take our needs and our wants to Him, but we need to pray for God's will to be done. When we are walking in His will, every prayer can be answered with a yes. Jesus went to His Father in agony, but even though going to the cross was difficult, he prayed for God's will to be done.

Two Fathers & the Passover Lamb

January 29, 2020 • Bill Gehm

At the last supper, Jesus explained the key to the narrative of the entire Bible. He is the Passover Lamb. He is our salvation. Communion is an important way that we remember and reflect on the grace and mercy that was poured out on us at the cross. It is symbolic, but it is also sacred.

Jesus & His Escape Plan

January 22, 2020 • Bill Gehm

Life is full of "things." Jesus has a plan... an escape plan... As Jesus neared the cross, He predicted the destruction of the temple and told the disciples about the signs of the end time. He also told them about the rapture. He will someday come to rescue His people from "things!"
