Joy to the Max
August 4, 2024 • Bill Gehm • Acts 13:42–52
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” - Romans 1:16-17

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:6-8

But Peter lifted him up, saying, “Stand up; I myself am also a man.” And as he talked with him, he went in and found many who had come together. Then he said to them, “You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean."
- Acts 10:25-28

"But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus," Romans 3:21-24
Surprise, Surprise... Who's That Knocking at Your Door?
April 21, 2024 • Bill Gehm • Acts 10:1–23
"And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree. Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. The Man Who Changed the World
March 3, 2024 • Bill Gehm • Acts 9:1–9
The Lord used the least likely candidate to spread the gospel and grow the Church. Saul was a persecutor of the Church but when He met Christ his life was transformed and he was given a new name. Paul repented and became the spokesperson for the Church, proclaiming the name of Jesus. God picks the ones no one would expect as visible proof of what God's grace can do. The Lord used Paul for great things in His name, and the Lord wants you too! Follow God in obedience and be ready to go!
