The church is meant to be a refuge from the world and a refuge for the world.

"The greatest issue facing the world today, with all its heartbreaking needs, is whether those who are identified as Christians will become disciples students, apprentices, practitioners of Jesus Christ, steadily learning from him how to live the life of the Kingdom of the Heavens into every corner of human existence." — Dallas Willard

Prayer Prompt:

“Lord, We give you thanks for the gift of community. We are invited to engage together with hope, joy, and love as Your disciples. Open our hearts and our eyes to see others as you would have us to see them. Help us to find humility to sit and hear others when so often we want to be heard first. You are good and you are gracious, O God, help us leverage our lives and die to ourselves for the sake of building up others. It is in the name Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”

Discussion Questions:

2. What areas of your life can you leverage for Jesus and others?

3. Is there anyone you are inviting or investing in spiritually?

4. In what ways can you participate in helping others grow spiritually?
