What does God desire for all men?
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants ALL men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” 1 Tim 2:1-4 (NIV)
Do you judge the marginalized or lesser among us? Or do you defend the rights of the poor and needy?
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” Proverbs 31:8-9 (NIV)
Do everything in love
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.” 1 Cor 16:13-14 (NIV)
Things to ponder?
Do I pass judgment on the homeless? Drug addicted? Mentally ill? If so, why?
How can I serve the less fortunate in this current season?
What would it look like to be courageous and do everything in love?
