Dual Citizenship: Keeping Heaven’s Priorities in an Earthly Society

Engage with Politics While Remembering Heavenly Citizenship 🔹When we talk about “citizenship in heaven” we mean that Christians, belonging to God’s eternal kingdom, live on earth as representatives of Christ, prioritizing His values, holding an eternal perspective, and embodying a hope that transcends this world. So until we are home, We pray for our country and our leaders. We participate thoughtfully and respectfully in the political process. We persevere until we are home with Christ, trusting God with the outcomes.

The Divine Design For Marriage

Courage to Defend Life: Fearing God and Guarding the Sanctity of Life

Each one of us possesses inherent value in the sight of God, and although our culture contends otherwise, His word teaches us that every life has dignity, worth, and purpose. Psalm 139 showcases God’s intimate knowledge and involvement in the creation of each person–from the most secret place of their weaving, to His eyes that looked upon every unformed substance–each frame has never been hidden from His sight. (v.13-16) In a world that upholds individual choices and opinions, Christians are called to glorify God and to guard and value the sanctity of human life. How do we bolster courage, foster a greater reverence for the Lord, and open our mouth to defend the voiceless? Join us tomorrow as we dig into Exodus 1 and explore our role in defending life. Exodus 1:15-22 15 Then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shiphrah and the other Puah, 16 “When you serve as midwife to the Hebrew women and see them on the birthstool, if it is a son, you shall kill him, but if it is a daughter, she shall live.” 17 But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male children live. 18 So the king of Egypt called the midwives and said to them, “Why have you done this, and let the male children live?” 19 The midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women, for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife comes to them.” 20 So God dealt well with the midwives. And the people multiplied and grew very strong. 21 And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families. 22 Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, “Every son that is born to the Hebrews, you shall cast into the Nile, but you shall let every daughter live.”

Living as Salt and Light: The Christian’s Role in Society

Will you be a bystander in the face of darkness, or will you step into the role as salt and light, transforming the world around you? As bearers of God’s image, we are called to be salt and light in the world, reflecting the character of our Creator to a broken and lost society. But being salt & light is not just a passive existence - it is an active & vital role. When we fail to act and grow indifferent, darkness grows and evil thrives, but when we step into our God-given role, we preserve goodness, bring hope, and push back evil.

Relativism and Biblical Living

A biblical worldview believes God defines what is right and wrong, not our opinions or desires. God’s truth alone is unchanging and absolute. In order to biblically respond to this relativistic culture we must: * Know and love God’s Word. * Think God’s thoughts after Him. * Live out God’s truth in all areas of life. May we be faithful to God’s Word, living in a way that glorifies Him and draws others to Christ.

Secularism and the Challenge to Christian Faithfulness

The mission of the Church is to be faithful to Christ and His teachings. Yet in our current culture, secularism seems to be advancing at an unprecedented pace, impacting every corner of society, including the Church. How do we biblically respond to secularism and distinctly live from a biblical worldview? Here are 5 key points: 1. Affirm the Authority of Scripture As followers of Christ, we must reaffirm that Scripture is our ULTIMATE authority, resist the cultural pull to redefine biblical teachings & reject the temptation to accommodate Scripture to fit secular ideologies. 2. Stand Firm in Faith We are called to know and defend biblical truth, to hold each other accountable, and to reject any compromise with secularism. 3. Live as “People of the Book.” As believers, we must live distinctly as followers of Christ. We are called to be “people of the Book,” refusing to conform to the patterns of this world but instead to be transformed by the renewal of our minds. 4. Engage Culture with Truth and Grace Our goal is not to win arguments but to win souls, speaking the truth in love and praying for those who oppose the faith. 5. Proclaim the Gospel Boldly A Christian’s mission is to proclaim the Gospel boldly, even in a culture that rejects it. We must preach Christ crucified, knowing that it will be a stumbling block to some and foolishness to others, but to those who are being saved, it is the power of God. In a world filled with mixed messages, take intentional time to filter what you see, hear, and engage with through the lens of Scripture. Seek God’s wisdom and strength as you confront secularism with the truth of the Gospel & stand firm in the faith.

Seeing Our World Through Christ’s Supremacy

It can be challenging for us to view all things in light of Christ’s supremacy because there are so many other things vying to be supreme or more potent in our life than Christ. Recognizing Christ’s supremacy requires a heart transformed by the Holy Spirit, a willingness to surrender to God’s truth, and an openness to seeing Jesus for who He truly is. It involves removing spiritual blindness, humbling pride, and turning away from sin and worldly attachments. Only then can a person fully acknowledge and live under Christ's lordship and sovereign rule as KING.
