The Gospel and Politics
Gospel and Politics (Pt.2 - A Time to Resist)
Acts 5:17-42 • January 13, 2019 • Pastor Armin Sommer
Romans 13:1 is a conveniently frustrating passage for some Christians, especially when their political party is NOT in power. If you lean to the political left, and the right is in power, chances are you’re a little more embracing of the idea of resisting the government (and vice versa). So, the question is, “Is it every appropriate for followers of Jesus to resist the government in a non-violent-protest-kind-of-way?” Well, it may be surprising to you that the answer to that is, “Yes”; the real question is when and how resistance should happen.

So, in this two-part series, the question we want to ask is, “What does Jesus think of this?”
