For mature believers in Jesus there is a message of wisdom: Christ in me, the hope of glory! The question is, are we mature enough to receive this message? In Corinth, the answer was “not yet!” Paul is pushing the church toward maturity so they can develop the mind of Christ.

A Foolish Message

February 25, 2024 • Joel Owen • 1 Corinthians 1:18–31

The people in the church of Corinth face some major issues- beginning with divisions in the church and personal preferences in leaders. But we are united in Jesus. The gospel has power over the things which divide us.

Focused on Jesus

February 11, 2024 • Joel Owen • 1 Corinthians 1:1–9

Before Paul goes into the issues facing the church of Corinth he gives them some positive feedback. But ultimately the Church is not great because of our own efforts, but because we keep our eyes focused on Jesus.
