God: Revealer of Mysteries

In Daniel 2 we see a conflict between King Nebuchadnezzar and his royal advisors over a dream he has. No man (or god, for that matter) is believed to be able to explain the dream. But Daniel serves the One True God who can do the impossible. The dream shows once again that God is in control of human history and His Kingdom is the only one that will endure.

God Is In Control

As we close our series on the book of Daniel we see once again that God is sovereign over the affairs of mankind. We also see that, like in the days of Daniel, wickedness and evil persist, yet God remains trustworthy and promises a time when all evil will have it’s day in court. Until then, we must choose where we stand- with the wise or the wicked.

God’s Delayed Response

The final chapters of Daniel reveal a great and terrifying future for the people of God including wars and hardship. And while those physical wars are scary enough, in this message we see another war that is taking place in the unseen realms. There are always heavenly realities behind human conflicts.

God’s Unexpected Response

Daniel is deep in prayer about the end of the Babylonian exile when he receives a response from God. However, the response isn’t exactly what Daniel was hoping for. In this message we learn there is power in prayer, but we must yield to God’s will over our desires.
