The Battle Of Addiction

June 14, 2020 • Herb Stepherson

Drug addiction and suicide have soared through COVID-19. The pandemic has dramatically worsened the heroin and opioid crisis. Anxiety, isolation, loneliness and emotional distress have been significant triggers for relapse. Social distancing, quarantines, job losses and uncertainty about the future are pushing people to rely on and increase their use of alcohol and drugs. One report predicted that around 90,000 Americans could die from drug or alcohol misuse, or suicide, as a result of the pandemic. Today we have a special guest to help us gain perspective on this subject. His name is Herb Stepherson. He is the author of a tremendous book called “Junkbox Diaries.”
