When we lose someone we love and are filled with grief and sorrow, sometimes we get angry with God and wonder why He did not heal our loved one. We usually believe that true love shows up for us in our greatest hour of need and helps us. Jesus shows us in this text, that true love (His love) does show up, but not always to sustain physical life. His main goal is to display His Glory, so that we might BELIEVE in Him and have ETERNAL LIFE.

JOHN (Part 4) | Week 8

October 8, 2023 • Pastor Kyle Rogers • John 10:22–42

Jesus saves His people through His Word and when we’ve saved we are safe, secure, and satisfied in Christ. John chapter 8 is a tale of two sinners: a woman caught in adultery and a group of pharisees who didn’t believe that Jesus was the Son of God. Jesus did not distance Himself from either-instead He brought conviction. The woman drew near to her savior and called Him Lord, while the pharisees continued in unbelief and wanted Him dead.
