All In

In the game of life, let's go all in with the cards we've been dealt.

Manhood • North Oak

We may have heard phrases like "man up" or "turn in your man card." What does it mean to "be a real man?" We will find that its less about being emotionally distant and more about being one after God's own heart.

Priesthood • North Oak

In biblical times, the priest had direct access to God. Through prayer, leading worship and serving others, the priest was responsible for helping others to follow in the ways of God. The area that separated the priest from the common person was the veil between the Holiest of Holies and the rest of the church. When Christ died, the veil was torn, and we were granted direct access to God, which also gives us access to the responsibility to serve others and lead them to Christ. Today, we want to have personal interaction with God, but many times we assume the pastor of the church is the one who does all the ministry. We all want the access, are we willing to accept the responsibility that comes with it?

Neighborhood • North Oak

Many of us live in groups of houses - some call them subdivisions, others call them neighborhoods. Subdivision can be a correct term if we come home from work or school, shut the garage door, and stay inside, living isolated and individualistic lives. Others of us call our area a neighborhood, with open garage doors, kids playing outside, or getting the mail for our neighbors when they’re out of town. Whether we live in a subdivision or a neighborhood could be up to us.

Parenthood • North Oak

The Bible describes God as a loving parent and when we parent well we honor God. One of the desires of every good parent is to see their child be happy and successful. But the path to having happy and successful kids may not be what it seems.

Womanhood • North Oak

Often times in our society, we underestimate the strength of women in our lives. As we inspect the life of Jochebed, we see a woman of untold influence of her actions that impacted her immediate family as well us today.
