Back in Egypt, Things Get Worse

Week 4 of our series, "Exodus: A People Redeemed for God's Glory" Moses returns to Egypt with his family to begin the work of obedience. God reveals His heart for His people when He calls Israel His firstborn son. They are a people loved by God and He desires a close relationship with them. The evidence of this love is found in God's covenant and the covenantal sign of circumcision. However, things don't go smoothly for children of Israel and life gets much more difficult to the point that the people begin to turn on Moses and Aaron.

The Compassion of Yahweh

Week 3 of our series, "Exodus: A People Redeemed for God's Glory" When we experience oppression, suffering, and pain, it's common for us to wonder where is God amidst all this hurt. We can often ask ourselves if He cares and if He will do anything. Yahweh not only reveals Himself to Moses, but He also reveals who He is to Moses. He is Yahweh, "I AM" or "I will be". And He's a compassionate God who will deliver His people because He will not forsake His covenant. And He's a Sovereign God who works powerfully to accomplish His will.

Moses and God's Providence

Week 2 of our series, "Exodus: A People Redeemed for God's Glory" The shrewd wisdom of a Levite woman preserves the life of Moses. She puts Moses in a basket that recalls Noah's Ark, foreshadowing God's judgment and redemption. But just like Noah, the man God intends to use is a deeply flawed man who is a sinner and is separated from God and His people.

A Blessed but Oppressed People
