ThankFULL for Life

November 20, 2022 • Pastor Joe Meyer • Colossians 3:12–17, Psalm 107:1–9

Today we give thanks for being filled with the life of Jesus. I have said often that Jesus is the meaning of life and the meaning of life is Jesus. We were created to be in a relationship with the one who created us as Psalm 107 reminds us, “He satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.” We have been filled with the good things of God but the greatest thing that we have been given by God is life itself. The life we now live and the eternal life that Jesus won for us.

ThankFULL for the Word

November 13, 2022 • Pastor Tim Phillips • 1 Thessalonians 2:11–13, Nehemiah 8:1–3, Nehemiah 8:5–6, Nehemiah 8:8–11

Today we give thanks for being filled with the Word of God. In the book of Nehemiah the Israelites have rediscovered the Word of God and we see the thankfulness that flows out of them for being able to hear it again. We see that as we hear the Word of God, read the Word of God, sing the Word of God, get taught the Word of God, share the Word of God and ultimately live a life abiding in the Word of God that this will lead to a life of thankfulness and gratitude. Paul instructs us to let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly and see the incredible blessing that the Word of God is in our lives.

ThankFULL for Peace

November 6, 2022 • Pastor Ben Johnson • Psalm 29, John 14:25–27, 1 Corinthians 3:12–15

Today we give thanks for being filled with the peace of Jesus. The peace that has been given to us is not like the counterfeit peace that the world wants to give to us. The world tries to make us believe that we are not complete until we have gained something else of the world. This kind of peace is a continual outside-in approach but the peace of God is completely different. The peace that Jesus has given us “rules our hearts” and starts from within us and does outward into any circumstance we might face in this world. The peace that comes from the knowledge of God’s love, God’s power, and God’s salvation no matter what.
