Jesus Is Our Judge

February 6, 2022 • Pastor Ben Johnson

The Wedding at Cana might seem like an odd scripture passage for this week but really it shows us more of the humanity of Jesus then we might think. As Jesus lived out His earthly ministry He looked like every other Jewish male at the time. The incarnation of God went to a wedding reception, drank wine, danced with friends but also transformed the party from the inside out. Jesus listened to His mother and changed jars of water into jars of wine. Jesus came to be like one of us to change us from the inside out. He renews our old sinful vessels and fills them with His new wine, His presence and invites us to come to Him whenever we need grace and mercy to help in our time of need.

Jesus Is Our God

Transfiguration Sunday is a weekend when we remember that Jesus truly is God Almighty. On the Mount of Olives Jesus pulls back His humanity and shows us all the glory that is within Him. It absolutely blows my mind to think that the Great I AM, the Creator and sustainer of all things, the beginning and the end, God Himself would take on human flesh and walk amongst us. Jesus is a God who loves us all with a love so great that it would propel Him to suffer, die, and rise on our behalf. He is the one that unites the Old & New Testament in His blood. Jesus is God!

Jesus Is Grace and Love

February 20, 2022 • Pastor Tim Phillips

This week we look at how Jesus was sent as the grace of God & the love of God. The good news of God was that the Father loved the world so much that He sent His one and only Son. Jesus came not to condemn the world but to save the world on account of sin. Jesus was sent to bring the grace & love of God to this sinful world. Everything that Jesus did was motivated by His grace and love for His creation, and it is seen clearest, when Jesus went to the cross to show us all how far the grace and love of God will go for each of us.
